Morgan Wait is a 3rd year PhD candidate in the Centre for Contemporary Irish History in Trinity's School of Histories and Humanities. Her work focuses on the relationship between women and television in Ireland during the long 1960s. It examines the multifaceted ways in which women interacted with television during this period as both producers and consumers of content.
The project seeks to illuminate the ways that television impacted upon women during this period, and vice versa, particularly in relation to the changing status of women in Ireland. Morgan holds a B.A. in History from Salisbury University and an M.Phil in Modern Irish History from Trinity College, Dublin.
