Dr Ina Bergmann
Dr Ina Bergmann is an Associate Professor of American Studies at the University of Würzburg, Germany. Her fellowship at the Trinity Long Room Hub is in collaboration with the School of English.
This research traces American cultures of solitude and their representations in cultural products from the colonial era to the present time. Cultures of solitude in the US are of particular interest, as the related concepts of independence and liberty are venerable American ideals.
