School visits | 5th & 6th class children | Children visit Trinity and experience being a college student for the day; they attend a lecture, go on a campus tour and have lunch in the canteen. |
College awareness week | 5th & 6th class children | Primary school children and their teachers simulate a college experience in their classrooms by completing an activity pack aimed at raising awareness of and interest in college. Students ‘graduate’ at the end of the week during an awards ceremony in Trinity. |
Treasure chests | TAP gives educational resources to schools to support maths and science learning | |
Bookmarks programme | 6th class children | Children create their own handmade books and see them displayed in the Trinity Long Room |
Maths and science exploration week | 5th class children | Children visit Trinity to see how maths and science can be fun and exciting |
Maths and science scholars | 6th class children | Each year, 40 students take part in a maths and science programme featuring workshops, campus visits and mentoring from 6th class through 6th year |
Summer sports camp scholarships | 6th class children | Children are invited to apply for scholarships to attend a week long multi-activity sports camp in TCD |
Transition from primary to second level | Parents of 5th and 6th class children | A community workshop for parents which gives information and tips on how parents can support their children in school |
