Living with COPD during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Thank you to all those who have taken part in the survey. The survey is now closed and we are currently analysing the data provided.

The aim of the study is to understand the experience of people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to invite you to do a telephone interview.

The study involves taking part in a 30 to 45 minute interview via telephone with a member of the research team.

This interview will focus on your experience of living in the community with COPD during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you have any questions about this study, please contact Dr Gobnait Byrne (gobnait.byrne@tcd.ie or 01 896 3105).

Inclusion criteria:

  • People aged over 18 years of age
  • Diagnosed with COPD for at least 18 months before the date of the interview
  • Living at home in the community during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Able to speak English because it is not possible to facilitate an interpreter
