ProACT Boekenberg

This is a research collaboration between the TCPHI, NetwellCASALA at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT), imec Brussels, University of Antwerp, Paramedisch, Centrum Boekenberg, and Z-Plus (Belgium) and is funded under the regional ministry of health in the Boekenberg region of Belgium.

ProACT Boekenberg mirrors the SMILE Slaintecare project in bringing a new, innovative service to enable Belgian citizens to proactively self-manage their health and well-being from home supported by a digital platform and nurse-led remote assessment and triage. Currently there are 35 diabetic patients registered for this service which has been trialed in the Boekenberg area. ProACT Boekenberg is due to end on the 4th September 2021.
