Supporting Evidence Syntheses in Maternity Care

The TCMCR, through Prof Valerie Smith as a member of Evidence Synthesis Ireland and Cochrane Ireland and TCD’s representative ESI Centre mentor, is actively supporting evidence synthesis in maternity care. In 2019-2020, through ESI sponsored Fellowships, Valerie has mentored one ESI Fellow to completion and is currently mentoring two further Fellows on maternity care evidence syntheses projects. The aim of this mentorship programme is providing training and guidance and to build capacity in evidence synthesis activity across the Island of Ireland.
