Law and Business (TR017)
If you have any access or assistance requirements for orientation week please do let us know at email@example.com
1. Law School Orientation Page
Please check the link below for more information
2. Meet Your Tutor
You will receive an email in your MyTCD inbox (where you register) before you arrive which will tell you when your Tutor is available to meet with you during Freshers' Week. You must attend one of the two slots they will have available. If you can't make the times in the letter, email your Tutor and arrange an alternative meeting. Your Tutor will be really important for you during your time in College, so it's important that you meet them early.
3. Maths Preliminary Course for Business Students
If you didn't take Higher Level Maths please consider attending the Maths Preliminary Course. It's free, online, and aimed specifically at students taking Business subjects or Economics. Your first year modules will include some Maths and Statistics modules so this course will get you up to speed with what you will need to know to do well to hit the ground running when teaching starts.
4. Module Enrolment
You will register for your modules on my.tcd.ie. This is a separate process to your registration for College so you MUST do both. Go to the “My Programme” tab in my.tcd.ie. Please see the page below for more information
5. S2S Mentor Meet-Up
Your first orientation activity will be an online S2S Mentor Meetup on Saturday 18th September. Check your timetable below to see what time yours is on.
Your S2S Mentors are fellow students who will play a critical role in helping you to navigate your first year in Trinity. They will make sure you:
- Get to know other students
- Have a space to ask questions
- Know your way around the physical campus and the online resources available
- Feel like you’re a part of the Trinity community
You will receive an email to your @tcd.ie address on or before the morning of 18th September with full instructions on how to join your Mentor meetup.
If you don’t receive this email, or have any difficulties attending your session, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will make sure you’re included in a group and that you get to catch-up on anything you’ve missed.
6. Orientation Timetable
Orientation 2021 is scheduled to take place from 18 - 24 September. Your orientation timetable will be available here before Freshers' Week.
While every effort is being made to have your course meetings in person, due to space restrictions, it may be necessary to have some course meetings online. You'll know by Monday 13th whether your meeting is in-person or online. Even if your orientation is online, please still come on to campus at least one day and take part in the Freshers' Fair and other social events being organised for you by the Students' Union, Clubs and Societies.
If you would like to attend the Provost's Welcome in person you will need to book a ticket. Unfortunately places are limited for the Provost's Welcome Address, but you'll be able to watch a livestream of Wednesday's Address at www.tcd.ie/students/orientation/provosts-welcome.php from 18.00.
You must attend the events shown in blue.
