Research Interests: (i) Analysis of discourse in ordinary and extraordinary contexts (e.g. everyday talk in interaction; media discourse; clinical discourse analysis, including discourse of the SLT clinic, dental surgery, and other contexts of (medical)interaction); (ii) Analysis of illness narratives and personal life biographies; (iii) communication disorders in child and adult mental health disorders, including forensic psychiatry;(iv) development of professional identity in health and social care professions.
