BEING BRAVE: HOW DO YOU MAKE SENSE OF YOUR RESEARCH

Postgraduate Research Conference.

Friday, 21st October 2022

School of Religion, Theology, and Peace Studies, ISE / LI Building, Trinity College East Campus

Our conference seeks to explore how we as researchers navigate our work within the context of both our colourful lives and the troubling circumstances of political struggles, social movements, or climate change.

How does your study affect your life? How does your unique standpoint affect your research? Contributions from, but not limited to, religious studies, theology, and peace studies might address:

● How your economical, cultural, geographical, corporal, or cognitive situatedness shapes your research
● The ways you adapt to unforeseen developments during your research, for instance, social and natural developments such as pandemics, war, or natural disasters
● How your findings help you navigate your life as a researcher and as a human being
● The ways your studies change your understanding not only of the research subject, but also of data analysis or academic knowledge production.

WE ENCOURAGE NON-TRADITIONAL SESSIONS, INCLUDING EXCURSIONS, INSTALLATIONS, VIDEOS, OR WORKSHOPS OF MAX 75 MINUTES AND ALSO WELCOME INDIVIDUAL PAPERS OF MAX 20 MINUTES, SLAMS OF MAX 7 MINUTES, OR PANELS OF MAX 75 MINUTES.
