Governance4
-
1Academic activities in education and research are all performed in one of the three faculties each led by a Faculty Dean. There are a number of inter-disciplinary Trinity Research Institutes receiving direct support, and each reporting to a designated Faculty Dean. There are three Science Foundation Ireland centres headquartered in Trinity.
-
2The Administration and Support functions are delivered via the Provost’s Directorate and three divisions under the leadership of the Vice-Provost/Chief Academic Officer, the Chief Operating Officer, and the Chief Financial Officer.
-
3The Executive of Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, is led by the Provost who chairs the Executive Officer Group (EOG), i.e. the senior management team. Management Groups are formed as required, including the Planning Group which is responsible for budgeting. Executive leadership of the Faculties is provided by the Faculty Deans.
-
4Governance is the responsibility of Board, which is the ultimate authority. The University Council is charged with supervising academic business.
