Launch of the Virtual Treasury of Ireland

A demonstration of the new Virtual Treasury being presented to Provost Linda Doyle, Taoiseach Micheál Martin, and Minister Catherine Martin at Dublin Castle.
Linda joined Taoiseach Micheál Martin and Minister Catherine Martin in Dublin Castle for the launch of a digital reconstruction of the Public Record Office, which was destroyed by fire at the beginning of the Civil War in 1922.

This stunning piece of work, which combines history with technology, resulted from a collaboration involving the Trinity library team, and brilliant researchers from across the arts, humanities and STEM.
