A Data Protection Impact Assessment has been carried out for the Provost Election and controls put in place to ensure that the election process is compliant with data protection legislation.

An I.T. Security Assessment has been carried out for the Provost Election and controls put in place to ensure that the election process is secure.
Various I.T. security checks will be carried out on election day so that the integrity of the count can be confirmed, before results are formally announced for each round of voting.
Contract with Mi-Voice
The electoral service provider engaged by Trinity for the 2021 Provost Election is Mi-Voice. Mi-Voice has provided electronic voting services to Trinity since 2018 for elections to Board, Council, Faculty Dean and Head of School, and also for taking Fellows Assents to New Fellows and to amendments to the Statutes.
A specific contract has been signed with Mi-Voice for the Provost Election with appropriate legal safeguards included.
Each candidate has nominated two Scrutineers who are invited to be present in the Public Theatre complex on election day to observe proceedings and scrutinise the process.
A detailed process has been designed for the count in close consultation with the Scrutineers.
