Curriculum Design Workshop

Curriculum design is an important component of the curriculum development process that supports the planning, implementing and evaluation of a programme or module. In this curriculum design workshop, you will create a visual storyboard outlining the type and sequence of learning activities (both online and offline) required to meet the intended learning outcomes of a programme or module. The workshop will provide you with an opportunity to:

• discuss and investigate what is meant by curriculum and curriculum design


• consider how to develop appropriate learning outcomes for a module/programme


• use the ABC learning design methodology to select appropriate activities for a module/programme


• draft a storyboard of the teaching and learning activities that maps the student learning experience
