Date: 09 August 2022
Time: 18:30 - 19:30

Tangent is pleased to invite you to an expert panel discussion on Climate Innovation and Biodiversity at Trinity College Dublin. Featuring new and diverse voices from across Ireland's leading university, the event will introduce the complex systems and levers of change involved in tackling the climate crisis, while exploring the positive opportunities it presents. Join us, online or in-person, to hear from:

  • Professor Jane Stout, Vice Provost for Biodiversity and Climate at Trinity, and Professor at Trinity School of Botany

  • Breandn Goss, Director of Climate Business Accelerators at Trinity and

  • Dr Daniel Rogers, Head of Education at Tangent, Trinity's Ideas Workspace

The session will introduce several hot topic issues, such as how Ireland can achieve climate neutrality and reach EU emissions targets; innovations in climate change adaptation and mitigation; the role of education in furthering climate action; plus potential pathways for would-be climate entrepreneurs. Together, we aim to share knowledge, discuss strategies, and take action towards overcoming the current environmental crisis we find ourselves in. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about Tangent's Postgraduate Certificate in Climate Entrepreneurship, the first course of its kind in Ireland, funded by Springboard+.
