Biography

Qualifications: MB, MD, FCARCSI, MSc, Diploma in healthcare management (RCSI). Current post - Consultant Anaesthetist, St James's Hospital, Senior Clinical Lecturer, Trinity College Dublin

Interests: Anaesthesia education, simulation training, the development of quality and safety case-based learning, airway management, regional anaesthesia and perioperative applications of ultrasound. Departmental roles: Establishment of ambulatory preoperative assessment protocols, discharge criteria and 24 hour follow-up for the Day Surgery Unit (opened in 2005)
