Dr. Cliona Lorton

Research Area: C-Reactive Protein in cancer

Dr Cliona Lorton attended medical school at Trinity College Dublin and completed general physician training in Ireland.  After a period of work with Hospice Africa in Uganda, she undertook higher training in Palliative Medicine in Wales.  She is currently Clinical Lecturer in Palliative Medicine (Trinity College Dublin / Our Lady’s Hospice) and chairs the Cancer Malnutrition research group. Her research interests are in malnutrition and inflammation in cancer. Her PhD research focuses on the role of C-Reactive Protein (CRP) in cancer.
