Research Expertise

Description

My current research includes the following research projects (for full details see accompanying research outline):
. HRB Research and Development Grant: Peer support in type 2 diabetes
. Cochrane systematic review of shared care for chronic disease and interventions to improve outcomes in individuals with multimorbidity
. HRB Programme Grant: The SPHERE Study. Secondary prevention of heart disease in general practice: a randomised controlled trial of tailored practice and patient care plans with parallel qualitative, economic and policy analyses
. HRB Project Grant: Randomised controlled trial of a family based intervention to improve outcomes in type 2 diabetes During this post I have also been involved in research examining intimate partner violence in general practice from a female and male perspective and health needs assessment methodologies. I have coordinated a writing group in the department for the last two years, which has provided a focus for our interdisciplinary collaborations.
