School of Medicine Researcher is honoured for Cancer Research
Dr Gráinne Sheill, School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin, has been awarded Post-doctoral Researcher of the Year by the Irish Cancer Society for her contribution to studies on improving patients’ fitness after intensive cancer treatments. Grainne was among a selection of researchers hailing from diverse backgrounds across physiotherapy, clinical and nursing who were lauded for their involvement in pioneering projects at the Irish Cancer Society Research Awards on Thursday 20th February 2020.
Irish Cancer Society researchers focusing on breast cancer, prostate cancer, blood cancer, bowel cancer, and exercise oncology were honoured. Grainne Sheill currently works at the Department of Physiotherapy, Trinity College Dublin. She undertakes research in Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation Medicine and Oncology.
