Juliette Hussey is the Vice-President for Global Relations/Associate Professor Physiotherapy in Trinity College. She was previously the Head of Physiotherapy from 2003-2015, (acting 2003-2009) and has been a senior lecturer since 2006. The main focus of her research is exercise in the management and prevention of disease. The ultimate aim of this work is translational focused on improving scientific exercise prescription to optimise therapeutic responses to exercise interventions in chronic disease and particularly cancer. She is PI on a number of research projects mainly investigating the effect of physical activity and rehabilitation models to expedite recovery across a range of cancers. She has supervised 23 post graduate students to completion in the area of exercise in the prevention and treatment of disease and is currently supervising 7 postgraduate students.
