Alfred D. Mahr is Professor of Internal Medicine and Chief of the Division of Internal Medicine at Hospital Saint -Louis (University Paris 7, France). He received his MD in 1993 (University of Montpellier, France) and he subsequently completed his residency in Internal Medicine (University Paris 6, France)in 1998. He received his MPH (University Bordeaux 2, France) in 2001 and PhD in Public Health - Epidemiology (University Paris 5, France) in 2008. From 2005 to 2007, Dr. Mahr completed a vasculitis research fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine.He is a member of the “European Vasculitis Study Group (EUVAS)”, “Vasculitis Clinical Research Consortium (VCRC)” and “International Society for Behçet’s disease”. Dr. Mahr’s research focuses on the epidemiology and etiology, and diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of vasculitis. He has authored more than 140 peer-reviewed articles, and currently served as Co-Editor for Rheumatology (Oxford).
