Dr Gerard Boran

Dr Gerard Boran is consultant in chemical pathology at Tallaght Hospital since 1997. Current interests include osteoporosis and metabolic bone diseases, the National Laboratory Handbook Project which is publishing a range of national guidelines for point of care testing and appropriate use of laboratory services, and the Irish Reference Interval Harmonisation Project. He has over 70 publications. He is also Course Director for the internationally accredited highly successful Trinity Masters in Clinical Chemistry since 2005.
