Prof. Lupoi and Prof. Yin publish new work in Scripta Materialia

Prof. Rocco Lupoi and Prof. Shuo Yin have recently published a new paper in the journal Scripta Materialia. The paper, entitled "Unravelling the deposition mechanism of brittle particles in metal matrix composites fabricated via cold spray additive manufacturing", focuses on the fragmentation of brittle microparticles during cold spray deposition, and the work utilized a camera with an exposure time as low as 5ns to see the very instant at which the fracture occurred.
