Postal Returns

The Library has agreed an arrangement with An Post to enable staff and students to post their books back to the Library free of charge. The scheme is strictly limited to staff and students who are not in a position to physically drop their books back to campus (e.g. because they have to restrict their movements or need to return a recalled book at very short notice).

If you need to avail of the An Post book return scheme, please fill in the form below. If you are approved, we will send you a book return bag (capable of holding 3 or 4 medium sized books) to the address of your choice. The bag will come pre-labelled with a return address and a unique tracking number. All you need to do is to put your books in the bag, seal it and post it back from your local post office.

Postal Deliveries

The Library provides a book postal delivery service for current staff and students to support those who cannot physically travel to campus to borrow print materials.

The postal delivery service can be used to place requests for borrowable materials only. It cannot be used to place requests for non-borrowable materials, such as reference works or print journals. If you require access to such materials, please consider using our Scan on Demand service instead.

Postal delivery requests can be placed via the form below. You can have up to 5 live requests at any one time - Library staff will retrieve the requested materials, issue them to your Library account and post them out to your specified address.
