I think you could have made this a little more clear or if you were held indefinitely in London have told me so as I would possibly know what to expect. I would be very much opposed indeed to your going to a Canteen in the vicinity of the Line. I did not know such things existed even. You must not think of going to any town that is subject to shell fire.
