called ‘de Toute son Âme’ Only middling. If you should see any cheap books by a French author called Gide you might send one or two out. Joe had an idea he was good. But I dont think youre likely to see any in Dublin especially in cheap bindings to send its a pity to send decent books out here. What dye think of the Contesse Marcievicz. Olive tells me she wanted to over throw “the hated British Government” in Dublin the other day. It was at a Peace Conference that she expressed the wish to continue the war till this was accomplished. It would be all right but necessary to destroy the German one too and the others I should think before it could do any good Ive always disliked Mme Marcievicz for the ugly face she has on her, but Im told shes a good woman and did well in helping Jim Larkins strikers What has happened to the Abbey Theatre that you say they’ve gone bad. Is it that they are producing nothing but Lady Gregory’s stuff now? Have they done the Playboy at all?
Au revoir dear & much love
