Dear Mother
No more letters or parcels from you since I wrote last but I think this is on account of the fiendish weather we have had lately which must make it hard enough to feed us without sending up Xmas mails.
We have had a terrible storm blowing for three days at first with sleet showers only but culminating in a terrific night of rain and wind.
Yesterday it continued all day to rain steadily though the storm had gone and today heavy showers with the glass rising steadily so we hope for some decent weather tomorrow again.
