my dearest Five letters again today one being the little note from the Theatre Royal. I am awfully glad you saw the “Movies” dearie because I am sure I know some of the ones you saw. I wish youd tell me more about them and what the places were like but I suppose that would be quite impossible as I suppose they were all as they are now Tell me did they jump over these holes or what did they look like? was it like a ship pitching up and down in a rolling sea? I see tonights Daily Mail says they have taken Kut. Well every move backwards must be distasteful to the central Powers. I see also big headings of our front. It is very deeply interesting and I cannot at all say what I think about it. We all discuss the German tactic at great length and its significance. Obviously “military” as opposed to “politically” and in one light is not heartening. However I mustnt begin on it or I would be saying more than was right. Ill discuss it later. Im sorry youve had so much trouble with Dillon. Ive hunted this afternoon in old “Timeses” for a/cs of his misdoings only finding Balkan statements from him on subjects of which Id have thought he was little capable of forming a judgement of any value soever
