have a narrow yellow band running length ways along the back; still others are spotted with a greenish tinge or display a well-defined green streak along the mid-dorsal line, in others the green is widely diffused over the head and shoulders, but in the most striking of all the whole back and limbs are burnished with a brilliant vivid green. All these different shades of green and brown and yellow graduate one into the other and, though the extremes differ to a remarkable degree, yet the progression is so gradual that it would seem impossible to create separate species.
