Dear Mother

I have just got your last letter to say you were sick while Roby was with you. I am very sorry to hear it but I hope you are all right by now. I expect a little of summer weather will do you a world of good. I got a letter from Aunt Mary too by the last mail but otherwise I have no news or rather would have it all scratched out by the censor if I gave it. I hear they are going to have conscription in Ireland and some measure of Home Rule as well I do hope there will be no resistance to either it would be a terrible business in these days when the Bosche is making such terrific attacks in France.
Things are very unsettled with us at present so dont worry if I dont write for some time.
The weather is very hot here now but that’s easily accounted for by the fact that I am no longer on the hill tops however I dont mind a little heat and I will be bathing which will be very nice again.
Best love to all
Henry
