[12th November[1917]] trenchs which the turks had been preparing for months with shell proof dugouts deep barbed wire & all the rest of it.
There was peace at night without any counter attacks by the Turks on our division at any rate.
Next morning we again advanced taking over the Turkish water supplies. Our division had an easy time but the one on our left had hard fighting all day.
The Australian Mounted Division went out to harry the retreating Turk as well.
