Last night snow fell on all the surrounding hills; they now present a lively picture of a bare wall of hills, with a white glistening fringe, over looking the fertile plains. Could one imagine a broad lake spread over the wide cultivated fields, the circling hills of snow would complete a vision of Kashmir. A medical Board examined the Battalion for fitness for service. As a consequence of our Malaria, measles and mumps it was thought that they might consider us unfit, but after a little consideration we were passed. Now it seems we are really off; the medical danger is over. We must begin in earnest to make mobilization complete.
