[10 May 1917] near to his house I said How nice! and he said Oh No! Not at all nice anything but nice! It was rather amusing I thought. I bought myself a lovely watch it rings a bell any time you set it at like an alarm clock it will be a great pleasure to the small child if it is still extant by the time I see the small child.
