29th December 1915
Relieved Bryson Brigade Picquet in Pinar 9 am. Quiet day with a couple of prisoners to vary things. In camp for meals. Turned in 9 pm and was awakened by a singularly garrulous [?] 12th Shropshires at 11 who talked incessantly to me till 1.45 when I shut him up and went to sleep. Woke shortly after to hear his voice inside in the guard room with the men most of whom he awoke to hear his experiences of being lost on the mountains. Moved picquet headquarters to Dandli.
