My dearest M I got a very jolly letter from you today. I am quite in agreement with what you say about the Publishing Business with respect to inducing folks to put money into it. It is quite hard for you to try and interest people in it without being able to explain the position the business is in or to give them any confidence that their money would be ordinarily safe in it. And I know it is not easy to get a clear statement from Joe so that altogether I think you are very good to try and help it. And it would not be at all wasted effort either if it widened the reading public in that direction even a very little. I suppose you feel a good deal of interest in it from its connection with the theatre work from the actress’ point of view!
Who are the “boys (Pincer & Peter)”? I dont know any Peter Did you find anybody playing in on the golf-links? Ill tell James about the watch Im sure he will not find any use for the Body.
