It is in no way my fault

have a chance of being Retained as a Reserve officer after the war but I did not know that a different form was necessary.
I would prefer, if possible, to have my application put forward as an application for temporary commission for the period of the war to filling an application for appointment to Reserve of Officers on B201 as the latter course will probably take rather a long time

Your obedient servant

I have posted this with my papers. I find on writing from memory that the wording is not identical but the substance of the letter is and I am hoping that Major D. will take the matter up for me himself & perhaps push it through quickly It was due to his “SR” that the hitch occured and it is very remarkable first that he didnt know it was on the wrong form and secondly that the error was not discovered in less than 7 weeks. It is in no way my fault as Maj D. himself chose the blue form off a table beside him. (over)
