[17th March [?1917]] putting their trust in book formulae while I got it out from first principles.
I wish you were out here now with your sketching stuff as we are going to have gorgeous weather for a bit now and the whole country is looking splendidly fresh and green. Lots of flowers too chiefly siklemons [cyclamons] and anemones though buttercups and a purple stuff like Camphor are beginning to make a fine show in places.
