My dear Pa
I am now in harbour on a transport waiting to depart to an unknown destination.
The ship is a nice one with good accomodation and grub though it is very stuffy today in spite of electric fans.
I think this move will mean leave within the next few months wherever we go but with the fighting that is going on now it may be delayed a bit.
Our marching orders were quite unexpected to within a couple of days of their arrival and I think very few of us officers were keen to leave Palestine before we had finished off the Turks.
We had a fine march from the mountains down to the plains
