I see the Germans are starting a blockade I dont see why they shouldnt if they can get away with it but I think there will be a good deal of feeling amongst the Neutrals about it. I dont think that they are as yet short of the necessities for carrying on the fighting and I suppose internally they can keep going too. There seems to me now to be a great tendency to say that the Allies have superiority in everything and I think people exaggerate this as they used to exaggerate their inferiority. I see a long rigmarole from my Lord Northcliffe on Americans in France. I think
