I have given up all hope of leave home from this country but hope that the war here may cease by midsummer and that we would then all get leave home.
I suppose I am very optimistic but from the defence the turks have put up in the minor stunts we have had this winter I should think he is no longer a very formidable enemy.
I have been very busy lately an unusual thing for me but today I have been able to do a complete loaf so far.
I havent even heard if the dates and things I sent from Cairo have arrived yet write and tell me if they dont come before this letter as I can get the money
