[20 April 1917] usually a limp time for everyone – V is feeling rather limp & tired but looks well & her appetite is good. I suppose it is to be expected she will feel a little the worse – I am sorry to hear of Mr K’s illness – It was very nice of Emma to send V. the fan – we were glad to have some news of her – this is a heavenly day – we are cut off from everyone till this day week.
