[30 March [?1918]] a picturesque looking native village perched on a green peak which appears to rise from nowhere behind it all the northern end of the dead sea and the haze wrapped cliff beyond with its myriad changing shadows.
I have just had a letter from Price from Mesopotamia. He seems to be enjoying himself all right with tennis golf and shooting not to mention dropping bombs on Tigris salmon. He says he expects to meet me at Aleppo one of these days but he mentioned a date which was at least three months too soon.
