He is off for Blighty again tomorrow by the Galeka

28th September 1916

Went into town again and up to Tigne to Cross. Heard more about the show. He is off for Blighty again tomorrow by the Galeka, and not yet four weeks out of England after leave. Heard from him of men in hospital from the company and went to see them Sgt [?]Carter 15 Platoon shrapnel in the hand (left), Lcpl Crompton, McIver and Clarke of my own men. All doing well. Heard of two good fellows’ deaths in my platoon.
Somehow having been away seems to have snapped one of the great links connecting me to the Regiment. Perhaps something more will turn up.
