Thompson affectionately known by all the mess and many other messes as Tommy gone to ‘B’ Coy. The great 1st Lt Tew has found things too strenuous for him and has gone off his feed. Decided that he is not strong enough for this battalion and is off again to the Garrison Batt he came from. Good riddance
Knott back from Salonika with cigarettes and looking glass for me.
Tew has apparently gone as far as the East Lancs in the first place but they will push him off pretty quickly.
Our ultimate fate here is not clear. Rumours of a return to Dandli among others make themselves heard. The offensive here seems to have collapsed.
