[12th October 1916] spread over the whole earth with the ark of Noah floating on its waters. Indeed today we still see relics of the story. Men take to their boats to flee their deluged homes. In their larger vessels they erect huts and extemporize an Ark.

In this they transport all that they have, their cattle, their goods, their sons, their wives and their son’s wives with them. Today they pitch their smaller craft with pitch; every year they see the great northerly wind pass over the earth as the waters assuage.
