Attended a class of sorts this morning by McNee

end December [1915]

Quiet day warm and pleasant but dull. Attended a class of sorts this morning by McNee on loading and treatment of pack mules. Afternoon Battalion Tournament Association Football tie 2 v. 14 Platoons. Win for Nelson by 1 nil: way backs good but forwards rotten.
Hear that Border Regt left here for the North yesterday. Looks interesting. Indented for boots from Quartermaster and got some warm vests from Salonika. Look like being ready sometime. Got field glasses from Ordnance free!
Letter from Walter Prentice saying he is in 4th Connaughts. Hope no harm will come to him at any time.
Wrote Harold, Walter and Alice. Brigade day tomorrow. Turn in early.
Rumours of many promotions. Unfortunately none my way. Bloore Jones Bryson McNee Rutherford. I wonder will we get some new ?Seconds.
