manding R.A. here tomorrow morning. I shall certainly advise you of the result of the interview which I hope may be favourable. At present I do not know how far negociations have proceeded in the matter whether the application is starting on its trip through the usual channels or has already been to GHQ. At all events it is momentous and I must have a good wash. A sergeant of Engineers from the trenches spic & span told me I looked as if I had not washed in a week. As a matter of fact I had but was working in grease all the morning on my bike which is a new machine and has apparently decided not to take me a complete trip ever. It is a good bike except for ignition the magneto not being made in Germany but I
