Biography

Daire McCormack-George Dáire McCormack-George is a legal researcher specialising in European market integration. His research is supported by a Postgraduate Research Studentship. Dáire read law as an undergraduate at Trinity College, Dublin where he was an exhibitioner, scholar and prize winner; as a graduate student at Hertford College, Oxford where he held a co-funded scholarship; and as a LERU Visiting Researcher at University College London.

‘Services’ make a substantial contribution to the growth and success of the European economy. There is an on-going demand for talent in service sectors globally, and the EU needs to meet this demand in order to sustain growth. Dáire’s research concerns the integration of service and labour markets—the apex of market integration.

Dáire has published, drafted and presented papers on labour and employment law, anti-discrimination law, Irish constitutional law and market integration. He was Editor-in-Chief of the Trinity College Law Review (Volume 19), an Associate Editor of the Oxford University Commonwealth Law Journal (Volumes 16 & 17) and Convenor of the tenth annual TCD Law Student Colloquium.
