Getting ready for 2020/21
We are planning for the new academic year to ensure you enjoy the warmest of welcomes or returns to Trinity in 2020/2021.
In these unprecedented times we are conscious of the considerable anxiety and uncertainty that exists so we want to offer you reassurance on the type of IT support experience you can expect when you join or return to Trinity.
Most IT services have, and continue to be, available as normal but we know that some of our services will need to change. However, be assured they will be available for students from 21 September, with the relevant Covid-19 safety measures applied. Our initiatives include:
- Adapting our Computer Rooms in line with social distancing guidelines so you will be able to use University computers (with a reduced capacity)*.
- Making it easier than ever to go online at Trinity.
- Offering full IT Service Desk support remotely – you can phone us, email us or even try the new WebChat to contact us.
- Ensuring all IT orientation information is available online.
*The only exceptions will be facilities where it is not possible to operate according to the current social distancing measures or Public Health guidelines.
