Orientation 2019 – IT Services Activities in Numbers
IT Services delivered a high number of activities during the first six weeks of the Academic Year 2019/20 to support the arrival of our new and returning students.
The IT Service Desk and the Information Desk in Aras an Phiarsaigh handled 12,037 calls for assistance during orientation, providing 548 additional hours or 73 extra person days of support in addition to normal service levels.
A total of 17,242 students registered for the TCDconnect service connecting 28,806 phones, tablets and laptops to the Trinity Wi-Fi and wired network, an increase of 1,353 students and 1,486 devices compared to last year’s orientation.
Our student apps remain popular among our student community, with 3,825 downloads of the Trinity Live mobile app and 3,062 of the MyDay app recorded for September.
