Say ‘goodbye’ to the way you logged into MyZone and ‘hello’ to enhanced security

We’re changing the way that you login into MyZone so that your login into MyZone will be more secure.

From 16th November, 2021, the login screen will look like you are logging into Microsoft 365.

Don’t be alarmed when you see it happen! This change is happening because IT Services is preparing your MyZone account for Two-Step Sign-In.

What do I need to do?

If you access your email via a web browser (such as Google Chrome) at, then you will not need to do anything differently. Just be aware that it will look like you’re logging into Microsoft 365 instead of Gmail.

Everything else will remain the same; you'll still use your Trinity IT username and password (the password you use to access Wi-Fi on campus, Blackboard VLE or the Library services) to login to your email.

If you use an email application* (such as an app on your phone), then ensure that you’re still receiving your email correctly on the morning of 16th November 2021. If something doesn't look right in the app after the change, then we would advise that you delete the profile and set it up again.


*Note: IT Services recommends using the Gmail app for iPhone and Android for the optimal experience. Users of android native apps using imap and basic authentication may experience issues.
